I SAY HOUSE, YOU SAY TOUR!
HOUSE…
HOUSE…
Ok, simma Sheena. But we goin’ have a house tour on the blog today and it’s goin’ to be filled with allllll the before shots. You ready?
Good. You may enter through the front.
And upon doing so, this is what you’ll find:
We’ll get to that room ahead in just a second (because it’s probably my fave), but first, to the right we have what we think will be the future library.
Right next to that is the (dated) kitchen:
And breakfast nook:
In the next room over is the laundry closet:
Plus a little half bathroom:
And a good-sized storage room/pantry/multi-purpose/we’re-not-quite-sure-yet room:
Off the kitchen we have that room I mentioned above that might be my fave, the living room/den:
Then, on the other side of the house and through a hallway we’ve got the kids’ bathroom (with horrendous lighting):
What might be our guestroom/office:
Possibly the kids’ play room (I know, I need a wide-angle lens):
Possibly the kids’ bedroom (we might switch it with the aforementioned):
The master bedroom:
And the master bathroom:
But the fun doesn’t stop there!
Out back we’ve got a great little patio:
And a backyard we can’t wait to play in:
I could write thousand word posts about every room and our hopes and dreams for each, and I will, but not today or we’d have one heck of a thick post. I will say though that, because each room gets a good amount of light thanks to lots of south-facing windows, some of the rooms are better looking in stills than they are in real life. In real life, we’ve got a lot of discoloration along with trim painted a different color of white/cream/ivory in every room. The fronts of some doors look like they’re freshly painted while the backs look like they’ve just come out of a smokers’ paradise. There are A LOT of things that have to be “fixed” in this house but there are A LOT of really awesome characteristics that drew us in and made us want to have her for our own.
Suffice it to say, we have plans. DIY plans. Budget-friendly plans. And we’ve already started on them. Stay tuned. ;)
I can't see these pictures...I wonder if it's a problem on my end or yours?
ReplyDeleteIt's mine. I'm not sure what's going on but I'll get it fixed asap! :(
DeleteThe pictures aren’t working for me either, I tried two different browsers. 😔
ReplyDeleteUgh, technology. Somewhere between here and outer space, something didn't feel like publishing my pictures. I'm working on a fix...
DeletePictures for first half weren't working yesterday but I see them today (12:00 pm ET).
ReplyDeleteLove all the blue flooring and how the one room without it went for blue walls.
This house has all the potential! Can't wait to follow along.
Blue was obviously the previous owner's color. :D I'm thankful it wasn't orange or something more crazy! I can deal with blue...for a little while anyway. ;)
DeleteIt's so beautiful! Congratulations!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ashley! We are excited about this one! :D
DeleteYay, I can see pictures! I can’t wait to see what you do with all of those rooms, so much potential for DIYs, painting, changing...!
ReplyDeleteGood! They came up on my phone so I hoped they were now working! Yes to potential! It has so much! Now to roll up our sleeves and snatch it up!...if only it were that easy. Haha!
DeleteI wasn't able to get the pictures open until today, but I'm SO GLAD I did!!! PLEASE tell me you're not going to change the walls in the living room! I LOVE "Panel Paradise," as I used to call one of my previous homes.... I LOVE it!!! Congrats on the new digs!
ReplyDeleteI can tell you that the paneling will stay...it just won't stay the same color. Don't hate me Tracy. ;)
